PC show??

heard about this from Yng Miin when saw her in sch days ago. I was like omg how come I m so out-dated, didn even know about the pc show! (btw i have been like that and was rather stunned yesterday when i found the sch car park barriers were lift open indicating a holiday or a sunday.. didn know about wadever holiday earlier also ......)

most probably i won't have time to go down expo and check out all d deals, but how can i miss them?

so I went online and searched instead. Basically it's like a netbook sales department, selling all the last-generation netbooks with Win XP at not-so-cheap prices.

I dare say those dealers are evil and basically cheating/bluffing those who know little about laptops/netbooks, brainlessly. Intel Atom N280/Z540 is advertised as "more powerful" specification. bull shit. how powerful can it be? i tried it b4 and it's roughly 1/3 as powerful as my 1 year-old laptop which WAS sold cheaper than those CURRENT netbooks on sale. 64GB harddisk is advertised as "huge harddisk". We know that new netbooks are nowadays are preloaded with Windows 7. There are no WIn7 products in the PC show however. XP is 2 generations b4 the current Win7 and those evil dealers started to dump the XP-loaded netbooks to the innocent! I heard that PCs are made to make ppl better informed, and now wad an irony, the PC show is actually fooling ppl round with false information and making ppl more poorly informed!

PC show=on-sale rubbish dumping ground. I can smell the rot from v far. as far as from expo to west coast.

rvr??

why does everyone say/think I m from RVR?? Zhirong's more unreasonable, saying i have "this rvr look"(what sort of look is that :s)

I stayed in RVR during last Jun holiday for one month and then moved to PGP since then. really wonder what kinda strong and "undeceivable" trace RVR has left with me? so strong and maybe persistent that after one sem it's still there, fresh....... and any KR look as well? ;p

Super Mario Theme song

bored to death in the midst of exam preparation. I have halted classical music listen during this exam period cuz it makes me feel unreasonably high and diverts my attention totally. cannot.asked a friend and he said the 8-bit super mario theme songs are not considered classical music. so I opened my music player in the computer and played d songs.

Then came the Great Moment when the true meaning of the song was revealed to me! The main theme song portrays Mario's attitude towards life, and probably the composer's thoughts on life as well. The fluctuation of the pitch symbolizes the highs and lows in life, inevitable. It seems the bits are all random but in fact the notes are all off bit and in order. Despite all the failure (M keeps dying and reviving) and pain Mario suffers from (hitting stuff and falling down from v high perhaps), his optimism and enthusiasm remain as the background percussion accompaniment goes on.

Yes. Optimism and enthusiasm. All the meaningful stuff and intention conveyed so vividly to me in this 8-bit MIDI file! This is definitely better than some monotone orchestra pieces like"sketch of city" and "song of kent ridge". The technique is overly deployed or rather, the form of orchestra arrangement is abused by the composer when he is unable to substantiate the arrangement with lines of meaningful melody.......it really sucks

cool

On a rainy evening aft supplying the engin veg stall uncle with a pour of "Project Box" stickers (the box business there is surprisingly gd and ran out of stickers so soon, while sticker stock of other stalls still forever lasts. i need to do smt about it), i was walking back to pgp with a cup of milk tea and music from my earpieces. This is the first time I have my earpieces on when walking. I always feel v lost and so insignificant in the might of the downpour under the sky. This time the drizzle seemed to disturb my view and mind again, but music blew it all away. really cool.

saw this rather boliao fb app. one fb entry shows Yu yang's brother managed to have 547 mouse clicks in 30 seconds. That's like round 18.2 clicks per second. in "Perpetual Motion" by Paganini, there are round 12 notes per second. omg. if his bro could continue learning playing violin, he would have surpassed Paganini!!.. and suddenly i feel like trying out this piece in the holiday ;p
